| Our workshop-supported course with Friday workshops (held in Plymouth and Bristol) runs from October to September each year, and prepares candidates for the NEBDN exam in September. There are six workshops between October and March, plus a Mock exam in June. The course, which qualfies for 45 hours of continuing professional development includes topics on oral diseases (such as plaque, gingivitis and periodontal disease); general and dental public health (smoking, pregnancy and the whole health concept); plus principles of education (patient knowledge, attitude and behaviour). For the full course syllabus, please visit the NEBDN website. Students take an active part: improving their own communication skills, and develop projects with the help of an experienced team of tutors. The course is intensive and demands enthusiasm and commitment, although we do have a lot of fun along the way! A basic knowledge of science and human biology is useful as we cover the structure and function of the oral cavity. Each student is assigned a personal tutor and receives full telephone/ email support. If
you have any specific questions about the course content please don't
hesitate to contact us |
