Former students Julie and Lynn describe their new ohe roles

Knowledge in the field of dental health is changing rapidly and there is a great deal to learn. Patients need dental health professionals who have been trained to communicate this knowledge in a way they can understand. This is where the trained OHE comes in.

The General Dental Council has also made the registration of Dental Care Professionals (DCPs) mandatory (from July 2008). As part of registration, Dental Nurses are expected to show Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The Oral Health Education qualification has been approved by the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners for 45 hours accredited learning.
